Houston undertaking $131M downtown flood mitigation project
HOUSTON – The city is planning a $131 million flood control project to develop a diversion channel and expand conveyance capacity in the downtown area. The project includes construction of an approximately 200-ft-wide high-flow channel with a 60-ft-wide wet pilot channel, concrete retaining walls, and terracing.
