Texas launches $88M disaster housing grant program
AUSTIN – The Texas General Land Office has opened applications for an $88.1 million affordable multifamily housing program. Funds may be used for rehabilitation, reconstruction or new construction of developments with eight or more rental units in 27 eligible counties. Projects must designate at least 51 percent of units as affordable for a minimum of 20 years for new construction or reconstruction and 10 years for rehabilitation.
